Purcell School Chamber Orchestra and Contemporary Ensemble

Conductor Edward Longstaff

7.30pm St George’s Church, Deal

Lucienne Renaudin-Vary stands out because of her exceptional virtuosity and amazing maturity – she is 18 years of age and has been awarded first prize at every competition which she entered.  She made her London debut with the London Chamber Orchestra earlier this month performing Shostakovich’s Concerto for Piano, Trumpet and Strings and is already booked to appear in North America and Canada.  We are thrilled to be welcoming Lucienne to this years festival.

The Purcell School is one of the UK’s leading specialist music schools, and holds the UNESCO Mozart Gold Medal in recognition of its unique contribution to music, education and international culture. Purcell alumni include Oliver Knussen CBE, Catrin Finch, and BBC Young Musician of the Year winners Nicholas Daniel, Lara Melda, and Martin James Bartlett.
